NEW YORK — Jewelers of America has announced leadership changes to its membership, marketing and communications departments.
Former Director of Member Services and Education David Peters is now director of education and industry relations.
"My focus is to continue to expand Jeweler of America's educational and partner programs to enhance our selection of available benefits and services," said Peters.
Under Peters' direction, JA launched more than 10 new benefits and services in 2011.
Meanwhile, Molly Fallon, formerly director of marketing and communications, has been named director of marketing and membership. Fallon will focus on member retention and recruitment throughout 2012. She joined JA in 2009 to develop the association's marketing outreach. Prior to joining JA, she directed marketing strategy at Blue Tulip, a gift and stationery retail chain
"I'm looking forward to working closely with our membership team to help the association grow and deliver valuable and relevant benefits to Jewelers of America members," said Fallon.
And Amanda Gizzi, formerly director of consumer communications, is now director of communications.
"Jewelers of America members are a diverse group of jewelry professionals," said Gizzi. "Our communications team strives to keep them up-to-date on the important retail jewelry news, advocacy and educational content that affect their businesses."
