YOUR TIP FOR JUNE 16, 2010
Tune out to the doom and gloom.
WHY? Because growing a business requires confidence and a positive mindset.
HOW? It's now obvious that it's going to be a long hard slog to get out of this slump. Periodically, give yourself a break from all the economic and finance stories on TV or the radio. When you hear friends or associates in the trade talking glumly about business, actively disengage from the conversations. Walk away if you're at a trade function. Instead, fill your mind with books, magazine articles or seminars that will "feed your entrepreneurial soul." Make a point to be around people who think bigger than you usually do, who can challenge you and support your "wacky" ideas.
