RICHMOND (VA) — Twelve independent jewelers came together on Feb. 7 in Richmond (VA) to raise $13,000 in the 2012 Jewels for a Cure raffle during the VCU Massey Cancer Center's annual woman and wellness forum series.

Guests purchased raffle tickets for $25 each and vied to win one of the 12 pieces of fine jewelry donated by the jewelers. Proceeds benefitted the VCU Massey Cancer Center.

"We're thrilled with the results and would like to thank all of the jewelers for their generosity and willingness to work together," said Becky Massey, vice chair of the VCU Massey Cancer Center Advisory Board. "It's very rare to have so many competing firms working together to support a common cause."
