Redesign Angelina Jolie's Engagement Ring

Brad Pitt took one year to design the engagement ring he presented actress Angelina Jolie last week. And since it was widely considered a flop, now the actor needs a redesign ...

Or at least he should, according to the majority of the nearly 100 mostly critical Facebook comments in our Fashion Face Off between Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston's respective Brad-Pitt designed engagement rings. Here's a sampling of what you said:

Maarten de Witte: "Stick to acting Brad. There is no design here."

Lido Jewelers: "The center diamonds should have been larger — the ring looks too small, overall, on her hand."

Peggie Robinson: "The ring is seriously ugly, but if Angelina likes it that is all that matters. Jen's ring on the other hand I like a lot except it would have been more outstanding if the wedding band had fit in the swoop."

Jennifer Hix: "Brad thinks he is a designer. He is into architecture so I thought he could handle a ring. FAIL! It looks like one of those tacky builder grade 'brass and glass' chandeliers."

Frankie Brandt-Pethtel: "Bond Jewelers Brandon would definintely have created something more than this. I'm sorry, Brad...hope Angelina likes it, which is really all that counts."

OK, OK — Your voices have been heard, the verdict is in and the INSTORE community is overwhelmingly underwhelmed by Brad's design skills. So let's assume for a minute Brad comes to YOU for a redesign. For this week's Participation Friday topic, we want to know:

How would you design Angelina's new engagement ring?

The redesign would naturally be covered by every major media outlet in the world, so what are you going to produce to showcase your best work? Minor alterations, complete overhaul or keep it the same? How are you going to influence the Moneyball star's design?

Comment below or on our Facebook page (or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) and we'll run the best responses on Monday. Brad needs your professional help! Let's hear what you've got for him.
