(Press Release) New York, NY — Platinum Guild International USA announces that 2017 will mark the 25th anniversary of the organization.

In 1992, PGI expanded to the USA to introduce platinum to a new generation. Throughout its history, PGI has worked with companies and individuals at all levels of the industry to provide information, education and marketing support with the mission of creating and nurturing consumer demand for platinum jewelry.

PGI plans to honor the milestone with a series of new initiatives. It will be bringing back a perennial favorite, the Platinum Edition Catalog.

Plans for the Platinum Edition Catalog are underway and will kick off the anniversary celebration. Participation in the catalog will be by invitation only and will feature images of celebrated designers and their platinum jewelry creations.

The print catalog will be distributed to 7500 retailers and a digital version will be supplied to all invited participants.

In addition to the Platinum Edition Catalog, PGI USA will unveil other projects to support the industry, including an online training program for sales associates, consumer-facing content on platinumjewelry.com, red carpet jewelry placement opportunities at Hollywood’s major awards presentations and a 25th Anniversary Soiree in Las Vegas during 2017 market week.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
