(Press Release)
NEW YORK, NY – Virtual Diamond Boutique (V.db), a network for visually sourcing diamonds, has announced a premier sponsorship of JCK Rocks the Beach 2016 during the upcoming JCK Las Vegas Show, June 3-6. Featuring multi-Grammy and Billboard award winners Train as the featured performers, the event is expected to draw more than 3,000 jewelry industry professionals. It will be held at the Beach at Mandalay Bay on Sunday, June 5 from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

“We are honored to host the industry at such a fun and inspiring networking event,” says CEO and Founding Partner Tanya Nisguretsky. “As we build the Virtual Diamond Boutique network and bring diamond sourcing/sales into the 21st century, we choose to celebrate our growth with award-winning, progressive music, sprinkling Drops of Jupiter and diamond dust into wholesalers’, retailers’ and manufacturers’ ears.”

V.db is a B2B network that utilizes app technology and HD imagery to assist retail and wholesale businesses to save time and money by sourcing diamonds 24/7 via a digital application. The app for smartphones and tablets was launched in the fall of 2015 and enables retailers and wholesalers to virtually and visually source diamonds by price, availability and all the C’s (carat, color, clarity, cut). The app is free for retailers and utilizes photography and videography, allowing them to source the stone(s) before requesting samples, reducing shipping costs and security risks while also offering the potential for savings on inventory investment. Other features include “matching,” which showcases similar diamonds, and “collections” that provide the ability to create customized folders to view and compare stones.

Diamond wholesalers can list merchandise on the V.db app and customize the experience with retail partner log-ins. Each diamond listed on the V.db app has its relevant diamond grading reports uploaded within the app, and its availability is updated via the vendor’s inventory software system. A desktop version will launch this June.

To learn more about the app, its latest features and/or to see a live demonstration, visit V.db during JCK Las Vegas at booth L132 (Gallery – Bayside). JCK attendees that stop by and leave their business card with V.db will be entered to win one of four iPads in a random drawing on the last day of the show on June 6. To book an appointment during JCK Las Vegas with a representative of the V.db team, contact Holly@vdbapp.com.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
