An engagement ring valued at $26,000 was stolen after a couple allowed four different contractors to do work at their home on the same day, Fox 2 News reports. The article says that an electrician, an exterminator and two people delivering TVs were at the home, and they were left under the sole supervision of the husband when the wife left the house to run errands. The police, however, were able to identify the ring thief and have since charged him. “It would probably be wise not to schedule multiple contractors on a single day because obviously it’s going to be difficult to keep track of all their activities,” Ballwin Police Lt. Horne told the news station.
