Panerai Bursts In Burgundy For Its Latest Luminor Due Addition

(PRESS RELEASE) Panerai reveals its latest model, the Luminor Due PAM01424. This novelty joins the Luminor Due family, the Collection that introduced lighter and slimmer versions of the Panerai’s signature proportions while maintaining its mechanical esteem.

Set in a 42mm steel case, the Luminor Due PAM01424 comes in a burgundy shaded dial – the ideal color in occasion of Chinese New Year celebrations – that transitions from a light center to a darker gradient at the edges. The sandwich dial features the date at 3 o’clock and small second hand at 9 o’clock with white Super-Luminova that illuminates in green in the dark. The shade is matched with a matt black alligator strap equipped with a new folding clasp that presents improved ergonomics featuring the PAM Click Release Systemfor ease of wear and to adjust. The steel deployant buckle, a precise balance between elegance and strength to match the timepiece’s stylish expression, is a fresh entry in the Luminor Due 42mm family. Powered by the automatic P.900 calibre with a three-day power reserve and 5-bar water resistance, the Luminor Due PAM01424 will be solely available in China as a boutique exclusive reference starting from December.

This novelty is part of Panerai’s Luminor Due universe, a collection, introduced in 2016, that expresses urban Italian sophistication. The line’s distinguishing features – the crown-protecting bridge and the distinct cushion-shaped case – are a testament to Panerai’s heritage, while the slimmer profiles, innovative materials and refined aesthetic cater to the modern watch enthusiast.

Officine Panerai is not the owner of the Super-Luminova trademark.

Panerai

Founded in Florence in 1860 as a workshop, shop and subsequently school of watch-making, for many decades Panerai supplied the Italian Navy and its specialist diving corps in particular with precision instruments.

The designs developed by Panerai in that time, including the Luminor and Radiomir, were covered by the Military Secrets Act for many years and were launched on the international market only after the brand was acquired by the Richemont Group in 1997.

Today Panerai develops and crafts its movements and watches at its Neuchâtel manufacture. The latter are a seamless melding of Italian design flair and history with Swiss horological expertise. Panerai watches are sold across the world through an exclusive network of distributors and Panerai boutiques.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
