$2M in Jewelry and Watches Taken in Seattle Robbery

Among the items taken were jewelry, diamonds and Rolex watches.

Seattle police officers are investigating an estimated $2 million smash-and-grab robbery of a jewelry store in West Seattle.

Patrol officers responded at noon on Aug. 14 to reports of a robbery and found that four masked suspects used hammers to smash the locked front glass door, according to the Seattle Police Department. They also smashed six glass display cases and stole jewelry, diamonds, and luxury watches.

MyNorthwest identified the store as Menashe and Sons Jewelers.

According to the police report, “one of the glass jewelry displays contained 700-800k in Rolex watches, another contained an emerald necklace valued at $125k and a platinum diamond. Two other display cases contained a large amount of gold jewelry.”

During the 90-second heist, one of the suspects pointed bear spray and a taser at employees while the others robbed the store, police said. No injuries were reported.

The suspects fled in a getaway car before officers arrived.
