A Modern Twist on a Classic Line

A Modern Twist on a Classic Line

Lockets have been around for centuries. Marathon’snew online Locket Studio makes filling them with a perfectly-sized image a snap.

In a digital world, there’s no piece of jewelry more “analog” than a locket. Lockets have been cherished through the ages as they traditionally hold a loved one’s image close to heart. The perfect gift for friends, lovers or family, their only difficulty lies in finding a picture that perfectly fits the locket case.

Now, Marathon—the Attleboro, Massachusetts-based business known for proud, made-in-the-U.S.A. classic jewelry collections—has introduced an online program that takes the guesswork out of locket imagery. Called Locket Studio by Marathon, it’s a free tool that creates the perfectly sized photos for any of Marathon’s lockets.

EASY TO USE

Users simply upload an image at www.locketstudio.com. Customers are provided with a Marathon code at point of purchase, though they can also search by any Marathon locket’s shape and size. Upload an image, crop it or rotate it as needed, and Locket Studio presents five images on a 4” x 6” page that is ready to print on photographic paper and cut to fit. Need more assistance? Customers can see how it’s done by visiting locketstudio.com/tutorial.

A STYLE FOR EVERYONE

Proudly making jewelry since 1897, Marathon stocks and sells a variety of locket designs in 14K gold, silver and gold-filled. The collection includes embossed, diamond and gemstone accented and engravable styles in round, heart and oval shapes with the ability to hold anywhere from 2 to four images. All lockets are sold with lovely gift boxes.

A TRADITION CONTINUES

Marathon has remained a family business, manufacturing its jewelry on site in Attleboro in a proud, New England tradition. Marathon produces Kiddie Kraft, the company’s children’s jewelry line and the best-known name in the industry; Essentials, a line of adult bangles, bracelets, lockets and religious jewelry; and beautiful sterling silver hollowware, including baby cups, rattles and feeding spoons. In 2016, Marathon acquired LeStage manufacturing, another Massachusetts jewelry manufacturer dating back to 1863, creator of Cape Cod Jewelry and the Convertible Collection.
