THE NO TIME to Die premiere in London featured a red carpet that was as glamorous as awards shows with jewels galore on A-list actresses who appeared in the film or came out for the event. Diamond, emerald and other gemstone rings stole the spotlight as the go-to jewelry on multiple fingers. But there were also some dramatic earrings, including a showstopping diamond and emerald headpiece by Ana Khouri on Naomie Harris, who plays Miss Moneypenny in the film. Khouri is known for her edgy take on mix-and-match drippy earrings, often with chain, diamonds and gemstones, and this headpiece is right on target with her aesthetic.

The concept is a good one: hair accessories that we have seen making their way as a trend, from fine jewelry pearl and gemstone barrettes or brooches worn in the hair to diadems and tiaras. While we think this piece is ultra-cool and unexpected, it is that unexpected nature that might throw us just a bit. It looks fab on Harris at the premiere with the part of the headpiece with the emeralds looping into earrings. But just when you think, “I can’t wear this in my everyday life,” you realize you actually can, as it is a convertible piece that also acts as choker necklace with the emerald pieces hanging down on either side of the neck. It can also be turned around and worn with the diamond and emerald chains down the back.

There are two different questions to be answered here: Where you would wear this, and how would you wear it?

Let’s start with the how:

And now for the where?

I think it would be perfect to wear it with my pajamas (read: comfy velour sweats) as a headpiece with the Zoom camera in closer up so you would only see me from the neck up. Other than that, I would love it as a choker worn down the front and with my hair up down the back. It’s convertible creativity at its finest for the daring at heart.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
