(PRESS RELEASE) CALIFORNIA – The Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) announces that applications for the 2025 AGA Gemological Education Scholarship Program are now open. This prestigious scholarship supports aspiring gemologists worldwide by awarding funds based on financial need and academic merit.
If you are pursuing a career in gemology and require financial assistance for your education, we encourage you to apply. Scholarships of up to $5,000 may be used exclusively for tuition and lab fees, with funds paid directly to the accredited gemological education provider.
Application Process & Timeline
- Application Period: January 1 – May 15, 2025
- Scholarship Amount: Up to $5,000 (tuition and lab fees only)
- Recipient Selection: Finalists are reviewed by the AGA Educational Scholarship and Research Grant Committee (ESRGC), with final selections made by the AGA Board of Governors.
- Deadline: All applications must be submitted by May 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time).
Recipients will be notified following the board’s selection process. The decisions of the ESRGC and the AGA Board of Governors are final.
