(PRESS RELEASE) RHINEBECK, NY — Rhinebeck jeweler Adel Chefridi Studio and Gallery has just been awarded Best Jewelry Store in the Hudson Valley by regional publication Chronogram. The organization is proud to have been chosen by local residents to receive this honor.

Hudson Valley publisher Chronogram Media runs the annual contest, called the Chronogrammies. The media company’s 2.5 million readers nominate and vote for their favorite Hudson Valley businesses, organizations, and public figures. The Hudson Valley region, comprising the counties surrounding the Hudson River in New York, from Westchester, just north of New York City, to Albany, is a region known for its independent retailers, from luxury jewelry designers to art boutiques to antiques and furniture shops.

Hudson Valley residents had a wealth of unique jewelers to choose from, but Adel Chefridi stands out not just for the striking, original jewelry designs, at once bold and delicate, but also for the retail space itself. The space, designed by Corinne Jacobson, wife of Chefridi, evokes the same refined artistic sensibility as Chefridi’s jewelry.

Chefridi, born in Tunisia, studied law in college but fell in love with jewelry upon his arrival in New York City. He learned the craft and business of jewelry at GIA and New York-based jewelry trade school Studio Jewelers Ltd.

Adel Chefridi designs are available at nearly one hundred locations across the United States, United Kingdom, and Tunisia. His flagship store, the winner of the Chronogrammy for Best Jewelry Store, is located at 47 East Market St, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.

Four Decades of Excellence: How Wilkerson Transformed a Jeweler's Retirement into Celebration

After 45 years serving the Milwaukee community, Treiber & Straub Jewelers owner Michael Straub faced a significant life transition. At 75, the veteran jeweler made a personal decision many business owners understand: "I think it's time. I want to enjoy my wife with my grandchildren for the next 10, 15 years." Wilkerson's expertise transformed this major business transition into an extraordinary success. Their comprehensive approach to managing the going-out-of-business sale created unprecedented customer response—with lines forming outside the store and limits on how many shoppers could enter at once due to fire safety regulations. The results exceeded all expectations. "Wilkerson did a phenomenal job," Straub enthuses. "They were there for you through the whole thing, helped you with promoting it, helping you on day-to-day business. I can't speak enough for how well they did." The partnership didn't just facilitate a business closing; it created a celebratory finale to decades of service while allowing Straub to confidently step into his well-earned retirement.
