(PRESS RELEASE) DALLAS, TX — The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) GemFair Tucson opened with a strong, and excited, buyer group. GemFair had sound first day registration numbers and a steady flow of traffic on the buying floor throughout the day. “This is where I buy the fabulous stones for my award-winning designs,” said buyer Susan Eisen, Susan Eisen, Inc., of El Paso, Texas. She continued, “Thank you, AGTA! I wouldn’t miss it for the world!”
Douglas Hucker, AGTA CEO, stated, “There is always something special about the Tucson GemFair, but this one feels a little more significant. We wanted to provide a safe marketplace for our members and buyers, but the joy of shopping in person, and seeing old friends only heightened the feelings around GemFair.” The AGTA’s priority is for the safety of the buyers and exhibitors who attend the show. For this reason, AGTA decided to forego large, social events to focus on providing the most secure location in Tucson.
The AGTA GemFair Tucson show safety guidelines follow both the City of Tucson and the Pima County Health Department protocols for attendance in the Tucson Convention Center. Masks are required for all attendees. Neither rapid tests, nor proof of vaccinations are required to enter the facility or attend the show. For a complete listing of safety protocols, visit our website at agta.org/tucson-safety-protocols-procedures/.
AGTA GemFair Tucson, located at the Tucson Convention Center, runs through February 6, 2022. For more information regarding the AGTA GemFair Tucson, email info@agta.org.
