Jewelry enthusiasts are waiting for the moment when And Just Like That airs on HBO Max. It’s a reboot of the guilty pleasure of women everywhere, Sex and The City, which held us glued to our TVs for the six seasons that the series ran. We can talk about how the show changed aspects of the small screen forever, but wouldn’t we rather just talk about the jewelry? Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her gal pals are back with the exception of Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones. They are older, perhaps wiser, with some new characters and a whole lot of new fashion, accessories and bling to keep us watching. We have gotten previews on SJP’s Instagram account, along with the accounts of designers who created jewelry for the show, the publicists and the costume designers Molly Rogers (who worked with Patricia Field, costume designer for the first series and two films) and Danny Santiago (who worked with Field on the films). We love seeing some of our favorite independent designers’ pieces being worn for the series. And we can’t wait for more to come!

The Carrie Necklace, which was the iconic piece in the first series, is back, layered with a modern day riviere from Nak Armstrong’s secondary line Nakard and pearls.

Graduated necklaces continue to be a popular trend in real life and on the show. Here, Sarah Jessica Parker wears a modern-day riviere from Nak Armstrong’s Nakard collection of black spinel baguettes and Fred Leighton’s antique 19th century white opal riviere. These are worn with a vintage charm in the shape of New York City.

The layering continues with Alp Sagnak’s faux oval orange gemstone with real rose cut diamonds surround on a blackened silver chain and Marlo Laz’s Mini Squash Blossom beads in 14K gold.

When the neck is layered, there is a balance of one singular ring on Carrie’s finger, which goes along with the trend of the moment. Here is Fry Powers’ baroque pearl ring with violet enamel worn with pearls and beads. And who can forget the large flower brooches from the first series? Well, they return for the reboot.

We can always count on an over-the-top look from Carrie, and this one is it. Here, she is wearing Alp Sagnak’s necklace with a fiesta of flowers in her hair and a mixed color and pattern print dress. (Photo courtesy of Shutterstock)

Carrie in another trend of the moment, a large ebony link bracelet with one gold link by Rosa De La Cruz London. This season, it seems that the trends are taking the same direction of what we are seeing in the market, on the runway and on the street. But we haven’t seen everything yet. Will there be another major trend like the Carrie Necklace, triple diamond horseshoe necklaces, messy pearls or large floral brooches? I for one can’t wait to watch and see … (Photo courtesy of Shutterstock)
