THE DAYS ARE GETTING longer and warmer, Spring lies just around the corner, and soon the rhododendrons will be blooming across North Carolina. It’s a scene that makes all those with an interest in gemology think of one stone in particular – rhodolites! Actually, we’re not sure if Kimberly Smith of JH Revell Jewelers and Goldsmiths in Bettendorf, IA, was stirred by such bucolic thoughts but she nailed our February Gem Quiz and walks away with a Gem Geek t-shirt.
