Atlanta Jewelry Show Announces August 2019 Event Theme and 2020 Show Dates

(PRESS RELEASE) ATLANTA, GA — SJTA and The Atlanta Jewelry Show announced “New Routes” as the theme of its August 2019 trade event.

The semi-annual show will take place Saturday through Monday, Aug. 10-12, with a Pre-Show Conference on Friday, Aug. 9, at the Cobb Galleria Centre. SJTA, a non-profit trade association, has produced the Atlanta Jewelry Show for nearly 70 years.

“My team and I are excited to offer the perfect combination of goods and services, plus innovative feature areas for our independent jewelers to discover New Routes to better products, smarter education and a strong community,” says Executive Director Libby Brown.

Pre- Show Conference & Education

Kicking off the event will be the inspiring Pre-Show Conference on Friday, Aug. 9, engineered by Education Director Cindy Chandler. Thanks to Diamond Producers Association, Stuller, Instore Marketing, Synchrony and other industry innovators, this full day of education will equip jewelers with the tools they need to succeed. “Our August lineup is second to none, with relevant and practical topics designed to provide real solutions to real challenges,” says Chandler.

CAD CAM Challenge Featuring Special Guest Rémy Rotenier

Watch new competitors Gary Dawson, Gary Dawson Designs, Eugene, OR; Shele Letwin, Shele’s Jewelry Design Factory, Toronto, ON; and Megan Proctor, Hubbell Jewelry Design, Newnan, GA; as they take inspiration from world-renowned designer Rémy Rotenier! Must See Exhibitors

A record number of new exhibitors along with best-selling brands will be showcasing their latest and greatest designs, including: Artistry, Cargo Hold, Galatea: Jewelry by Artist, Gabriel & Co., Imperial Pearl, Kimberly Collins Colored Gems, King Baby, Lafonn, Mazza Company, Overnight, Tresor and more. One-Stop Resource

New for August, The Loupe will be expanded to include a plethora of resources, all located in one neighborhood. Called 1-Stop Shop, this new area will afford independent jewelers the opportunity to expand their business with products and services essential to the successful retailer. Plans for the Loupe include a repair station, hand-engraver, gem cutter, silver services, 3-D printing resources, appraisers, and e-commerce services. Organizers announced that the AWCI Mobile Horology Classroom will be making its Atlanta debut as it rolls right onto the show floor, offering free classes inside a state-of-the-art bus.

Kids Jewelry Camp

Back by popular demand, this professionally designed curriculum will offer educational programs and interactive sessions where AJS Kids discover the world of gems and jewelry in a safe, fun and age-appropriate environment. At AJS Kids Jewelry Camp, the top priority is to welcome children into the jewelry community with the intention of encouraging and inspiring them to continue the legacy that has taken a lifetime to create. The program welcomes children of industry professionals, ages 7-12 and 13 and up. Register now. Limited availability.

Chi Huynh, founder of Galatea: Jewelry by Artist, has created some of the world’s most beautiful and unusual jewelry collections. Chi, a poet, painter and humanitarian, will be giving a rare in-person presentation on the power of imagination and how it can be used to tap into your creative side. A leading innovator and visionary, Chi brings his unique insights to lucky AJS attendees during a live demonstration in the Gallery.

The Occasions Shop is returning to inspire you! This new shopping experience provides new products and new ways to incorporate occasional gifts into your current product mix. By offering non-traditional jewelry store merchandise, retailers can meet the needs of today’s modern consumer, which in turn will drive more traffic. (All proceeds donated to AJS Kids Jewelry Camp)
