(PRESS RELEASE) ATLANTA — SJTA, the producer of the Atlanta Jewelry Show for nearly 70 years, announces new developments for the August 2019 edition. With the addition of prestigious designers, expert educators, networking events and innovative pavilions, August AJS is poised to impress. The Cobb Galleria Centre will be the setting for the trade event, which will run Saturday, Aug. 10, through Monday, Aug. 12, with a pre-show conference on Friday, Aug. 9.

“The Atlanta Jewelry Show team is hard at work to ensure the August show is the best event yet. Pre- Show Conference

Kicking off the event will be the popular and inspiring Pre-Show Conference on Friday, Aug. 9, engineered by Education Director Cindy Chandler. Powered by Diamond Producers Association, Stuller and other industry leaders, this full day of education will equip jewelers with the tools they need to succeed.

“Our August lineup is second to none, with relevant and practical topics designed to provide real solutions to real challenges,” said Chandler.

Highlights include: GIA sessions before and during the show, succession planning workshop with American Gem Society President John Carter, hosted by Bill Boyajian, and the standing-room only Diamond Power Panel return. Explore the power of scent with Air Esscentials and get the latest marketing secrets during the Instore Marketing track.

“Top personalities and educators in the industry are contacting us on a daily basis, so we are constantly adding speakers to our already phenomenal itinerary. Make sure to check the AJS website often for up- to-the-minute additions,” added Chandler.

Additionally, interactive sessions are scheduled throughout the show in our unique Learning Labs, right on the show floor. View the complete education schedule here.

Thinking of Liquidating? Think: Wilkerson

When Peter Reines, owner of Reines Jewelers in Charlottesville, VA, decided it was time to turn over the “reins” of his 45-year-old business to Jessica and Kevin Rogers, he chose Wilkerson to run his liquidation sale. It was, he says, the best way to maximize the return on his decades-long investment in fine jewelry. Now, with new owners at the helm, Reines can relax knowing that the sale was a success, and his new life is financially secure. And he’s glad he partnered with Wilkerson for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “There’s just no way one person or company could run a sale the way we did,” he says.
