Michael Schechter
(PRESS RELEASE)NEW YORK — BOSS Logics, the leading technology solutions provider for the jewelry industry, announces that Michael Schechter has joined the team as Director of Business Development. In his new role, Schechter will focus on account and partner outreach as well as product strategy development.
Schechter brings over two decades of experience working at the intersection of fine jewelry and modern technology. He has helped brands and retailers optimize their digital experience and drive website and omnichannel sales growth. Schechter was instrumental in helping his third-generation family business, Honora, thrive online as the web emerged as a priority for jewelers in the late ’90s. After Honora’s acquisition by the Berkshire Hathaway-owned Richline Group in 2013, Schechter’s role expanded to work across all fine jewelry categories, partnering with some of the largest jewelry retailers in the United States.
“Michael brings a unique industry point of view, and his deep roots in the jewelry industry mean that he literally grew up with the DNA of the industry around him,” states Zach Lipsky, founder and CEO of BOSS Logics. “In addition, his creativity and technical background will be the bridge that takes us and our users forward. Michael represents the next generation of the BOSS Logics platform.”
Prior to joining BOSS Logics, Schechter served as the primary business manager for the Richline Group-owned e-commerce website Gemvara. During his time there, he partnered closely with retailers like Helzberg Diamonds, Macy’s and most recently the Buffalo-based Reeds Jewelers to expand Gemvara’s innovative made-to-order e-commerce functionality into an omnichannel sales experience.
“I’m honored and excited to join BOSS Logics in their mission to connect the jewelry industry,” said Schechter. “Their collaborative approach and emphasis on customer success have already proven to be key in helping manufacturers, brands, and retailers alike to blend emerging technology with long-standing best practices. The functionality that Zach and the team have already developed is a leap forward in software crafted especially for jewelers. BOSS Logics’ commitment to innovating from within rather than attempting to disrupt it from outside is exactly what is needed as jewelers truly begin to embrace digital as part of their omnichannel experience.”
