Kyra Brooks, a former nurse who’s now a stay-at-home mom, tells Fox 4 News that when she was breastfeeding her daughter she “wanted a tangible way to capture this bond that I had with her.” That ambition eventually gave rise to a thriving enterprise in which people mail her their breast milk that Brooks uses to make beads for necklaces, charm bracelets, pearls, rings and earrings. Her Facebook page now has more than 18,000 likes, and she also has a nifty website with a peculiar URL. “Some people thought it was weird, some people thought it was the best idea ever,” she says.
