Bold statement jewelry was the trend to watch both on and off the runway during 2024 Paris Fashion Week featuring spring/summer 2025 ready-to-wear. At different shows, Cardi B, Juliette Lewis and Kylie Jenner all wore either outsized jewels or conversation pieces on their ears, necks or wrists.

Lets start with Cardi B in a luxe emerald fur coat with spiraling textured hoop earrings, which she wore to the Balmain show. The hoops were huge with a capital H, but they were the perfect pair to complement the coat, which didn’t seem to have a top underneath it. The size and perhaps weight of these might not suit women in their everyday life, but the texture and spiraling silhouette were inspirational for designers and will most likely turn up in quite a few collections in various incarnations, so be on the lookout.

Lewis attended the Chloé Womenswear Spring-Summer 2025 show wearing all black with hybrid choker/bib/charm necklace. It was one of those pieces from which designers and consumers can take away different looks. Or they could also view it as the total statement piece that it was. It hit all the high points in necklace trends — it started as a choker, with multiple drops that extended into a bib of dangle textural charms with stones. For us “real girls,” I could see toning it down to include fewer, more delicate dangles and charms. Or breaking it into a graduated layered look of simple choker and a link chain necklace with multiple meaningful charm dangles with gemstones or gemstone accents.

Jenner attended Schiaparelli’s runway show in a black midi dress with a cinched waist and dramatic plunge neckline. You can see the look here. Her hair was styled in a Veronica Lake wave that added to the drama of the look. But her outsized bangles on each wrist were where my eyes went. They had a fluted texture and were rounded at top and bottom and, again, were the stuff that runway jewelry is made of. But they did point to the trend of wearing matching bangles or cuffs on each wrist in more of an easy-to-wear, easy-to-use-your-arms size. Bracelets have been gaining momentum, and these will provide inspiration for designers going forward.

Why not tell us if you will wear any of these looks or what you will take away from them?
