Richemont (Bellevue, Switzerland) announced on Tuesday that Louis Ferla will be the new CEO of its subsidiary brand, luxury jewelry retailer Cartier (Paris). Ferla will officially take over the position on September 1 from current CEO Cyrille Vigneron, who is retiring after eight years leading the luxury brand.

Ferla is coming to Cartier from his role as CEO of Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin. Ferla previously spent a decade of his career with Cartier, including leading its China arm, before moving to Vacheron Constantin, where he served as CEO since 2017.

“I have always admired Louis’s strategic vision and inspiriting management style, which have served him well in turning Vacheron Constantin into one of the world’s leading luxury watchmakers” Richemont’s CEO Nicolas Bos said in the company statement.
