Why they are a trend: From butterfly pendants to hoop earrings to fingers full of rings, Dua Lipa has become a celeb to watch for her choices in jewelry and fashion. In addition to being a pop music artist, she’s been ambassador to Evian water, appeared on myriad magazine covers and signed a modeling contract with Next Models. This past season, she walked the catwalk in her first runway show for Versace in Milan. Her double curb chain chokers are right on target with the past few seasons’ emphasis on bold chains, which we have been seeing on the international runways as well as the collections of independent and up-and-coming designers. The combination of the way in which Lipa can pull off high fashion with a feminine yet edgy style and the comeback of ‘80s chains — particularly the rounded curb chain and choker length necklaces — has all the makings of an evolving trend.
