(PRESS RELEASE) Christopher Designs announces the appointment of Katherine (Katie) Hamian as the new director of marketing. Hamian will oversee creative for Christopher Designs including brand image, social media and marketing campaigns. She is also responsible for developing modern and innovative marketing strategies for an ever-changing market in an extremely challenging landscape.

“It’s no secret that joining a jewelry brand during a worldwide pandemic and social crisis is no easy task. However, I felt up to the challenge knowing we have an amazing team and quality product at a great value to offer our existing and future clients. Once our office closed in March, our team actually began working closer than before. Even with our own personal challenges, we forged ahead knowing that our common goal was to be a resource and support system for our retail partners. We wanted to communicate that we’re all in this together, so we made clear, consistent and compassionate communication a top priority,” shared Hamian.

Christopher Designs is designed and produced in New York City, so Hamian is confident knowing that they have complete control over their production timeline when it’s time to start up again.

“If there’s one positive thing that’s come out of this, it’s why I love the jewelry industry. Jewelry has an amazing ability to spread love and happiness by playing a small part in life’s special moments. That’s something that will never change,” continued Hamian.

Christopher Slowinski, president and CEO of Christopher Designs adds, “We are thrilled Katie has joined our team. Her energy and market insights are invaluable, and just what our brand needs to endure this difficult time.”

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
