(PRESS RELEASE) BRASILIA, BR — Dr Gaetano Cavalieri, President of CIBJO, World Jewellery Confederation, has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) for his contributions in supporting the global colored gemstone industry.
Dr Cavalieri received the award during the May 19-22 ICA Congress in Brasilia.
“Gaetano Cavalieri stands today as one of the most respected and influential figures in the global jewelry community,” Damien Cody, ICA President, said.
“His dedication spans decades, and we, as an industry, owe him a deep and enduring debt of gratitude. He has been awarded many accolades over the years and he now joins a short list of preeminent individuals who have been honored with this most prestigious recognition.”
Mr Doug Hucker, ICA CEO, said: “It is nearly impossible to acknowledge all of the people, organizations, industry sectors and associations who have benefited from Dr Cavalieri’s efforts and participation.
“The ICA is honored to recognise a true titan of our industry.”

One of the most prominent leaders in the international jewelry industry today, Dr Cavalieri has served for more than 20 years as President of CIBJO.
CIBJO unites national jewelry and gemstone associations from more than 40 countries, and also includes many of the industry’s major corporations and international associations.
