Citizen Watch America Announces New Promotion

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – Citizen Watch America appoints Joy Tarbox as managing director of the Group’s Luxury Brands Division. Citizen Watch America represents the product design & development, marketing and sales for Citizen Group within the U.S., Caribbean and Latin American markets (Bulova and Accutron only). The brands included within Citizen Watch America are Citizen, Bulova, Accutron, Frederique Constant, Alpina, Ateliers de Monaco, and Arnold & Sons. Within the Luxury Brands Division specifically are Accutron, Alpina, Ateliers de Monaco and Frederique Constant.

Officially promoted in June into this expanded role, she reports to Michael Benavente, managing director Bulova, and is responsible for managing the overall sales and brand management for Alpina and Frederique Constant. She is also in charge of overseeing all field sales for the Accutron brand.

Joy brings to the position close to 25 years of watch sales management experience. In the past she has worked with other notable luxury companies including Corum, Chanel, and Gucci Group Watches and Fine Jewelry as their sales director for the United States. Originally joining Bulova in March of 2016 as Eastern Regional VP, Joy shortly advanced to SVP field sales, overseeing the independent retailers nationally.

President of Citizen Watch America, Jeffrey Cohen, spoke on Joy’s promotion saying, “We are continuously building and strengthening our Luxury Brands division and with that comes a dedicated staff for sales, marketing and customer care as well as a dedicated process at our warehouse for these brands. Joy’s expertise is integral to leading the growth of this division.”
