Structured as a part time, remote leadership role of approximately 20 hours per week, the position calls for a nonprofit executive with demonstrated 501 c3 governance expertise, strong operational leadership, and a proven ability to grow and engage a mission driven membership base. Deep familiarity with responsible jewelry practices and the confidence to represent the CEJ brand within the trade are essential.

Responsibilities include overseeing internal communications, supporting board and committee leadership, coordinating nonprofit compliance and financial reporting with the Treasurer, and strengthening administrative systems that support long term sustainability.

Membership development remains central to CEJ’s impact. The Executive Director will collaborate with the Membership Committee to expand recruitment efforts, deepen engagement, support renewals and onboarding, and cultivate a connected community aligned with the organization’s standards and values.

Externally, the Executive Director will act as a senior representative of CEJ within the jewelry sector.
