(PRESS RELEASE) BURLINGAME, CA — Costar Imports, one of the leading Manufacturers of Bridal Jewelry and Diamond Bands in the industry announces Al Minor as the new Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Minor has held Senior Sales Management positions at leading Jewelry Manufacturers and brings over 40 years of experience to Costar, starting on April 19th.

“Al brings a skill set that is almost unparalleled in today’s wholesale jewelry market,” said Costar President, Avi Bajaj. “With his years of experience in Sales Management and Marketing, Teaching Consultative and Concept Selling, and helping Retailers Brand their Businesses, we believe that Al will help transition Costar as the Premier Bridal and Wedding Band Supplier in the nation.”

In his career, Minor built, developed, and managed five National Sales Teams with major industry manufacturers. “This is a great opportunity for me to work with a company that is experiencing tremendous growth and help them reach the next level in sales,” said Minor. “I love that Costar understands the importance of great customer service, 2-3 week delivery of emotional purchases like Bridal, and their ability to provide a custom CAD-CAM service to their partners in 24-48 hours, all critical in our evolving industry.”

Minor received his undergraduate degree from Westminster College and attended Law School at the University of Arkansas. Outside of his professional life, he is also interested in sports, travel with his family, and Southern cooking.

Minor will be responsible for building and training the National Sales Team, and helping to develop Costar’s Marketing and Channels of Distribution in the US. This is consistent with Costar’s goal to provide the highest quality Bridal Product and Customer Service Experience to their business partners, to assist them in building traffic in their stores, to help them get a better turn on inventory, and increase their margins by giving them quality bridal product at competitive prices.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
