(PRESS RELEASE) COUTURE announces the launch of its new COUTURE Podcast, which will highlight the unique people who make up the COUTURE community. The podcast will initially feature COUTURE’s exhibiting artists and brands, and will evolve to include its retail partners, media ambassadors and industry influencers. The first podcast features Yves Spinelli and Dwyer Kilcollin, the creators behind the venerable Spinelli Kilcollin brand.

“While there is admittedly no shortage of podcasts in the world, when we looked at the landscape, we didn’t see anything currently available that is accomplishing what we hope to accomplish with the COUTURE podcast,” explains Gannon Brousseau, director of COUTURE and executive vice president of Emerald. “We feel so privileged that we have access to these larger than life personalities, and when we’re fortunate enough to get a deeper insight into their stories and learn about their personal and artistic journeys, the jewelry they create becomes that much more meaningful; we’re excited to share these stories with a larger audience.”

The COUTURE Podcast will be released monthly and will feature a diverse group of artists and brands in conversation with COUTURE’s publicist, Michelle Orman. While the podcast features discussions about the jewelry that these artists and brands produce, it also focuses on their lives outside of jewelry, their creative journeys, and the inspiring stories surrounding the challenges they’ve faced and overcome in getting to where they are today.

In addition to highlighting the unique points of view of each of their subjects, the event organizers also look at The COUTURE Podcast as another opportunity, along with its robust social media following, for its community to stay in touch throughout the year. The COUTURE Podcast is available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher and through The COUTURE Show website.

For more information about The COUTURE Podcast, or about COUTURE, which is taking place in the new expansion of the Wynn Las Vegas, June 1-6, 2020, please contact Michelle Orman at (646) 302-5521 or via email at Michelle@LastWordComm.com.

When There’s No Succession Plan, Call Wilkerson

Bob Wesley, owner of Robert C. Wesley Jewelers in Scottsdale, Ariz., was a third-generation jeweler. When it was time to enjoy life on the other side of the counter, he weighed his options. His lease was nearing renewal time and with no succession plan, he decided it was time to call Wilkerson. There was plenty of inventory to sell and at first, says Wesley, he thought he might try to manage a sale himself. But he’s glad he didn’t. “There’s no way I could have done this as well as Wilkerson,” he says. Wilkerson took responsibility for the entire event, with every detail — from advertising to accounting — done, dusted and managed by the Wilkerson team. “It’s the complete package,” he says of the Wilkerson method of helping jewelers to easily go on to the next phase of their lives. “There’s no way any retailer can duplicate what they’ve done.”
