As for those valuables left in your room, consider leaving the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, says the JSA, adding it can be wise to leave the television on as well. “Criminals might reconsider burglarizing hotel rooms if they hear your room’s television is on,” the JSA noted in a recent email bulletin.
