Jewelry Thief Arrested in the Buff After Hit-and-Run

A 38-year-old man was arrested naked on Sunday after allegedly stealing jewelry from a store in San Antonio’s South Side district and hitting a man with his car as he attempted to flee. Michael Allen Loving had apparently shed his clothes to avoid being captured, after abandoning his getaway vehicle on a nearby stretch of highway, ABC News San Antonio reported.

Drunk Officer Crashes Cruiser Into Famed Arkansas Jewelry Store

A police officer was dismissed from the force last week after crashing his cruiser into Sissy’s Log Cabin’s original store in Pine Bluff, AR, while returning from a police social function the night of Nov. 20. The officer reportedly registered a blood alcohol level of .17, more than twice the legal limit in Arkansas. Sissy’s regional manager Ben Trevino said the store, which suffered an estimated $500,000 in damage from the early morning wreck, would be back in operations for Black Friday weekend. “I’m just so thankful that young man was able to walk away without being injured,” he told the Pine Bluff Commercial.

Israeli Store Repels Robbers with Gas System

A robbery attempt at a jewelry store in the southern Israeli town of Ofakim was thwarted on Tuesday night, thanks to the quick reaction of staff, who deployed special gas and smoke deterrent systems. Dramatic security footage shows the masked assailants fleeing the scene empty handed as a cloud of pepper spray descends on them. “We ran to the back room and pressed the emergency button, then the smoke started coming out. It was scary, we felt our lives were in danger,” an employee told the Jerusalem Post. See a video on X below.
