Vibrant gemstones that offer rainbow, ombre or tonal combinations continue to paint a vivid picture for the holiday season. Often, colored gems are cut into different shapes and combined for a refreshing take on this trend that grows more creative with time. Enamel accents pop the palettes designers are using even more by juxtaposing more subdued colors with neon brights in different shades and tones. There are also the simpler bold statement hues that represent unique gemstones. Most intriguing is the way in which designers are using transparent and opaque stones and faceted and cabochon cuts together.
