The Art Deco movement encompasses the jewelry that continues to resonate more than any other period since its trailblazing approach to design first came into style. This year’s centennial of the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris in, has spurred  even more of a revival and reinvigoration of the movement which actually began approximately 10 years early and receive its name Art Deco retrospectively, in 1966.  Contemporary jewelry designers are reinventing the “Moderne Style” as it was first called with their own distinctive interpretations that pay homage to the groundbreaking movement.
