Ethical Gem Fair Returns to Tucson in 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) Just after its first-year debut, the Ethical Gem Fair Tucson was forced into hiatus, as were many others, due to Covid-19. But a new year brings a new show, and the Ethical Gem Suppliers are back! They will host the next Ethical Gem Fair Tucson at the Scottish Rite Cathedral (160 S Scott Ave, Tucson, AZ 85710), from Saturday, January 29 through Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 9AM – 6PM daily.

This is a trade-only buying event and an opportunity to find exceptional gemstones that support the Ethical Gem Suppliers’ shared vision that gemstones can be more than just beautiful. Each brand within the collective shares a strong commitment to supply chain ethics, mine-to-market traceability, environmental health and safety regulations, and supporting artisanal miners. With a focus on access to information and transparency about their practices, this is an event you will learn from in addition to walking away with some fantastic jewels.

The Ethical Gem Suppliers are made up of a handful of like-minded brands, including Agere Treasures, ANZA Gems, Capricorn Gems, Columbia Gem House, Fairtrade Gemstones, Nature’s Geometry, Nineteen48, Perpetuum Jewels, Quore, and Virtu Gem. The brands in attendance for this event will each have a variety of gemstones with event-only promotions available.

With the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere of the Scottish Rite Cathedral, attendees are invited to join to shop event specials, meet the individuals who make up this collective, and learn more about what it means to buy responsibly sourced gemstones.

Registration is free and appointments will be available throughout the event on a first-come basis. There will also be a social Meet & Greet Event with Ethical Metalsmiths on Monday January 31st, 2022, from 4 – 6PM.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
