Bloomingdale’s (New York) will open its fourth Bloomie’s store, on Nov. 14 in The Grove Shopping Center in Shrewsbury, N.J. The location will be the first to carry solely an all-women’s assortment, including contemporary ready-to-wear, accessories, beauty and jewelry, the retailer said in a news release. It will also feature an in-house café offering light bites and grab-and-go drinks.
“Bloomie’s is a perfect example of how our brand continues to evolve with our shoppers’ needs and preferences.” said Rachel Abeles, SVP Customer & Revenue Growth at Bloomingdale’s, a unit of Macy’s Inc. “The Shrewsbury Bloomie’s is a milestone for us; it strengthens our presence in the local N.J. area and marks our first women’s-only location. We’re excited to bring this curated collection of brands and categories to complement our existing fleet within the New Jersey community, making access easier and more tailored than ever before.”
While the shop will be the first Bloomie’s in the New Jersey market, it will join four full-line Bloomingdale’s and three outlets currently operating in Short Hills, Bergen, Willowbrook, Brigdewater, Princeton and Jersey Gardens.
Four Decades of Excellence: How Wilkerson Transformed a Jeweler's Retirement into Celebration
After 45 years serving the Milwaukee community, Treiber & Straub Jewelers owner Michael Straub faced a significant life transition. At 75, the veteran jeweler made a personal decision many business owners understand: "I think it's time. I want to enjoy my wife with my grandchildren for the next 10, 15 years."
Wilkerson's expertise transformed this major business transition into an extraordinary success. Their comprehensive approach to managing the going-out-of-business sale created unprecedented customer response—with lines forming outside the store and limits on how many shoppers could enter at once due to fire safety regulations.
The results exceeded all expectations. "Wilkerson did a phenomenal job," Straub enthuses. "They were there for you through the whole thing, helped you with promoting it, helping you on day-to-day business. I can't speak enough for how well they did." The partnership didn't just facilitate a business closing; it created a celebratory finale to decades of service while allowing Straub to confidently step into his well-earned retirement.
