(PRESS RELEASE) Gems One announced the addition of Clancy Wehba to our Sales and Marketing Consultant team. With dedicated experience in all facets of the jewelry industry spanning multiple continents, we are excited for Clancy’s career transition to our team.

Mrs. Wehba’s passion for jewelry began at an early age in her family’s Springfield, MO store where she gained foundational knowledge and hands-on experience. Her drive to excel led her to study at the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in New York City, where she honed her skills at R&R Grosbard and became both a designer and a Graduate Gemologist.

Recognizing her talent and ambition, her parents sent her to India to master the art of diamond purchasing. She immersed herself in the diamond trade for nine transformative months, acquiring invaluable hands-on expertise. After graduating, Clancy returned to her roots. Using her exceptional leadership skills, she quickly propelled to the position of General Manager at their Arkansas location and then transitioned to Springfield to manage one of their Pandora specialty stores. After Wehba’s relocation to Chattanooga, TN, she took on the role of Assistant Manager at a prominent retail store. This experience further refined her customer service and management abilities; whereupon Gems One recruited her as our customer service manager.

Clancy’s extensive knowledge and unwavering talent to make customer connections make her a valuable asset to Gem One. Her deep understanding of the jewelry industry, from gemology and design to retail and manufacturing equips her to provide unparalleled service to her clients.

Four Decades of Excellence: How Wilkerson Transformed a Jeweler's Retirement into Celebration

After 45 years serving the Milwaukee community, Treiber & Straub Jewelers owner Michael Straub faced a significant life transition. At 75, the veteran jeweler made a personal decision many business owners understand: "I think it's time. I want to enjoy my wife with my grandchildren for the next 10, 15 years." Wilkerson's expertise transformed this major business transition into an extraordinary success. Their comprehensive approach to managing the going-out-of-business sale created unprecedented customer response—with lines forming outside the store and limits on how many shoppers could enter at once due to fire safety regulations. The results exceeded all expectations. "Wilkerson did a phenomenal job," Straub enthuses. "They were there for you through the whole thing, helped you with promoting it, helping you on day-to-day business. I can't speak enough for how well they did." The partnership didn't just facilitate a business closing; it created a celebratory finale to decades of service while allowing Straub to confidently step into his well-earned retirement.
