(Press Release)
MUMBAI, INDIA – The Gem & Jewelry Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India expresses its solidarity with the Belgium citizens, especially the diamond industry of Belgium, who were at the receiving end of the terrorist attack. The Indian diamond industry is dismayed with the fact that the terrorist attacks in Brussels on Tuesday claimed many innocent lives and injured several people.
“We are extremely shocked by the dastardly terrorist act at the airport of Belgium,” says GJEPC Chairman Mr. Praveenshankar Pandya. “We express our condolences to the excellent people of Belgium who were not only compassionate but also extremely accommodative, which has been felt by us, the Indian Diamond community, over several decades. At this time of anguish, we stand with the fellow citizens and diamond community of Belgium.”
Belgium is one of the largest diamond trading hubs in the world. A huge diaspora of the Indian diamond fraternity is settled in Belgium and operates out of their offices based there. We are happy to note that the diamond community at Belgium is safe and hope that everyone in the community continues to remain safe and sound.
After 139 Years, A Family Legacy Finds Its Perfect Exit With Wilkerson.

Wilkerson managed the entire going-out-of-business sale process, from marketing strategy to sales floor operations. “Our goal was to convert our paid inventory into retirement funds,” notes Sam. “The results exceeded expectations.” The Sipes’ advice for jewelers considering retirement? “Contact Wilkerson,” Laura says. “They’ll help you transition into retirement with confidence and financial security.”
