(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Louis Karten, founder and CEO of Guild Consulting LLC, announces the appointment of Heather Favali as Vice President of Business Development.

Founded in 1997, Guild Consulting specializes in strategic partnerships, acquisitions, asset sales and purchases, negotiating license agreements and management restructuring with major multinational jewelry and diamond companies. The hiring of Ms. Favali in September 2021 was prompted by the company’s recent expansion into the consumer market with the launch of two new brands: Diamond Guild and Guild585. Diamond Guild features gift-able 14K gold and diamond jewelry. Guild585 highlights semi-precious gold jewelry as well as gold jewelry designs that align with today’s trends.

Ms. Favali brings to Guild Consulting extensive expertise in the field, with more than 25 years in management and executive roles spanning numerous sectors of the diamond and fine jewelry industries.

“I feel extremely fortunate to have Heather join the team and welcome her extensive and exceptional knowledge of the consumer market. She is already making a major difference at Guild Consulting and I know her vision and skills will be instrumental in the success of our new consumer brands,” said Karten.

Ms. Favali began her career at Zales Jewelers in 1991, where she spent 10 years excelling in the retail end of the industry. The following 16 years provided a different perspective of the jewelry business with Hannoush Jewelers, where she interacted directly with ownership and upper management to impact both the retail and operational branches of the company. Favali joins Guild Consulting after 3 years with Signet Jewelers, fulfilling diverse roles that ranged from involvement in management to the position of District Manager, where she was able to expand her skill set across a broader spectrum.

“I am very enthusiastic to bring my passion for the jewelry industry to Guild Consulting’s new consumer venture. It is a pleasure and an honor to be working alongside such a respected and knowledgeable figure in the industry”, said Ms. Favali.

When the Kids Have Their Own Careers, Wilkerson Can Help You to Retire

Alex and Gladys Rysman are the third generation to run Romm Jewelers in Brockton, Mass. And after many decades of service to the industry and their community, it was time to close the store and take advantage of some downtime. With three grown children who each had their own careers outside of the industry, they decided to call Wilkerson. Then, the Rysmans did what every jeweler should do: They called other retailers and asked about their own Wilkerson experience. “They all told us what a great experience it was and that’s what made us go with Wilkerson.” says Gladys Rysman. The results? Alex Rysman says he was impressed. “We exceeded whatever I expected to do by a large margin.”
