Hailee Steinfeld and Anya Joy-Taylor Wear On-the-Lobe Earrings With a Contemporary Twist

They both wore iterations of this style at the 2024 Academy Awards.

IT WAS A NIGHT of sparkling diamonds and gems — glamorous jewelry that made my heart skip several beats. But throughout the 2024 Academy Awards., I kept my cool to bring you some of the trends I see going forward into spring/summer and beyond.

Hailee Steinfeld and Anya Joy-Taylor added a chic, elegant and youthful twist to earrings worn on the lobe — bigger than studs, but not so large as to be painful. These earrings go along with The Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans in terms of style, including the iconic pieces lent by Verdura. But these are a bit more delicate and feminine compared to the ones in the series, and are more antique-inspired than vintage. Steinfeld wore cluster-style diamond earrings from Chopard’s Red Carpet collection and Joy-Taylor dazzled in diamond earrings from Tiffany & Co. Both radiated confidence and beauty and seemed to be at ease in the variations on this style.

I believe we will see more of this style in various incarnations. And depending on the size and shape of the piece, a little sparkle that close to the face is always welcome.
