Inspired by the red carpet season and couture runway shows, jewelry designers are creating jewels to dress up your tresses whether you wear your hair up or down. Although many of the A-list actresses wore brooches as dazzling hair ornaments (which is another way to go with a few subtle tricks of securing them) contemporary designers are creating true hair accessories. These are barrettes, clips and combs in gold, with diamonds and other precious stones, or pieces that convert from a necklace into a bandeau.
