Hearts on Fire Joins KHIRY in First Ever Fine Jewelry Launch

(PRESS RELEASE) BOSTON,MA — Hearts On Fire, The World’s Most Perfectly Cut Diamond announces its involvement with designer Jameel Mohammed and brand KHIRY in its first ever fine jewelry collection, entitled KHIRY FINE, debuting later this month exclusively at NET-A-PORTER.

Mohammed is part of The Vanguard, NET-A-PORTER’s globally renowned program for emerging design talent as well as a recipient of the CFDA’s Elaine Gold Launch Pad Award. Founded in his University of Pennsylvania dorm room, 25-year-old Mohammed launched the KHIRY brand utilizing demi-fine materials and has now entered into the fine jewelry category with precious metals and gemstones. By way of The Vanguard, Hearts On Fire was selected to support the new collection with natural white diamonds. The collection was inspired by Mohammed’s vision to channel the beauty, art, and culture of the African Diaspora.

Last week, the world saw the first pieces of the new collection on the cover of TIME Magazine worn by Poet Amanda Gorman. Gorman wore the Mask Earrings, ($5,000 SRP) as well as the Khartoum Stacking Ring with Diamond Trim ($3,500 SRP) — both designed with Hearts On Fire diamonds.

“It was a joy to use Hearts On Fire diamonds for this project. The diamonds’ incredible brilliance shines in large groups but even more so as individual stones. As this is our debut fine jewelry collection, it was absolutely essential that we offer fully realized pieces that announced their opulence from near and far, and Hearts On Fire diamonds were critical in achieving the beauty and intensity I was after, says Jameel Mohammed, Founder, KHIRY.”

Jaki Cowan, the owner of Sollberger’s in Ridgeland, MS, decided the time was right to close up shop. The experience, she says, was like going into the great unknown.
