Everybody from your local botanist to the thrift store seems to be offering subscription services these days, and you can’t really blame them. That recurring income and the chance to expose customers to new offerings is mighty attractive. We’ve heard of jewelers offering regular rentals, but what about a jewelry cleaning and inspection subscription? Start with a low-cost test, offering such a service to 50 of your best customers.

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren.
