MONTCLAIR, NJ — INSTORE, the premier digital and print platform for jewelry-retail professionals, has been named a finalist for the 72nd Jesse H. Neal Awards, the “Pulitzers of B2B media.” Presented by SIIA Media, the Neal Awards are the highest honor in the business-to-business publishing industry, recognizing excellence in editorial and design.

INSTORE was named a finalist in a highly competitive digital category:

  • Best Feature Design (Digital), Brand Revenue of Less Than $3,000,000: INSTORE’s 2025 Big Survey Online, presented to Turquil Lambo, Web Design Editor; Mar Jefferson Go, Group Managing Design Editor; Trace Shelton, Editor-in-Chief; and Chris Burslem, Group Managing Editor.

“Our team did an outstanding job of blending beautiful, stylized original artwork with functionality and an interactive layout that make the reader feel a part of the story, like a ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ novel,” said Trace Shelton, Editor-in-Chief of INSTORE. “This, combined with the hard work that our editorial team did in compiling and analyzing the data from our survey, makes this story fun to read and, honestly, simply to look at from start to finish.”

SmartWork Media also received a second nomination for sister brand PETS+, which was named a finalist for Best Feature Design (Print).

“What makes these nominations especially meaningful is that they recognize two very different executions of the same editorial challenge — making dense survey data compelling,” said David Squires, Group Editorial Director at SmartWork Media. “The INSTORE nomination, in particular, highlights our investment in a best-in-class digital experience. This interactive layout proves that B2B web content doesn’t have to be static; it can be a high-fidelity, immersive destination that rivals any consumer-facing platform. Our team has truly elevated the standard for what a jewelry industry website can achieve.”

“When you give creative people the freedom to push boundaries, this is what happens,” said Matthijs Braakman, CEO of SmartWork Media. “I couldn’t be prouder of the talent and dedication shown by our editorial and design teams in delivering this level of digital excellence.”

The winners will be announced at the 72nd Jesse H. Neal Awards ceremony on April 21 at The Yale Club in New York City.
