(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — The JA New York 2022 Summer Show kicks off this Sunday at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, August 14-16. Running concurrently with other trade events taking place throughout the city, JA New York offers retailers and industry thought-leaders access to a wide range of product offerings and resources, as well as education sessions organized by Jewelers of America (JA). The Summer show will also host the New Designer Gallery (NDG), which was postponed during previous events.
“We’re very much looking forward to bringing the industry together next week,” noted Mark Lind, group show director for JA New York shows. “Our robust roster of manufacturers, designers and brands provides a comprehensive product selection, and our easy-to-navigate show floor is organized to ensure that attendees can efficiently maximize the time they spend at our event.”
The renowned New Designer Gallery (NDG) section boasts a 45-year history and has been the launch pad for several pinnacle designer fine jewelry brands throughout the years, including David Yurman, Paul Morelli and Alex Sepkus, who began their storied careers in this section of the show. The 6 designers exhibiting in NDG this year are JV Insardi, Kiersten Elizabeth, NVR NUDE, Isabel Alexander, Helannona and Praycious Jewels. The show will also feature several specialty pavilions, including a Lab Grown pavilion showcasing a selection of both finished goods and loose stones, the Premier Collection pavilion, highlighting some of the show’s more prestigious manufacturers and brands, and the always popular Hong Kong and NCA pavilions.
Jewelers of America has organized 4 “pop-up” education sessions under the theme “Think Future,” focusing on Trends, People, Tech and Success at Retail, which will include a panel discussion with some of JA’s “20 under 40,” future-thinking retailers.
