(PRESS RELEASE) NORWALK, CT – JCK Events announced its plans to launch JCK Virtual 2020, a virtual jewelry trade event. With a theme of “Reconnecting,” the online event will take place August 10-14, 2020, and feature the best of JCK Las Vegas & Luxury virtually: from JCK Talks to product browsing and buying hours, virtual meetings, interactive networking, matchmaking and more.

While registration is not yet open, dates have been set for the most unified week of virtual appointment setting and networking for the jewelry and watch community worldwide:

  • Monday, August 10, 2020 | Luxury, by invitation only
  • Tuesday, August 11–Friday, August 14, 2020 | JCK & Luxury registered attendees

JCK Virtual 2020 will be free to qualified, professional jewelry buyers. The event offers a full slate of programming that will connect qualified jewelry buyers and professionals looking to discover what’s new, next and innovative for their business with thousands of JCK & Luxury exhibitors and partners, from the comfort of their home or office.

Attendees will be able to search for jewelry and watch products, retail technology and services from around the world; schedule appointments to meet via live video with vendors to learn about new products and to merchandise their stores for the holiday season; receive custom product and vendor recommendations; and enjoy JCK’s unmatched education, trend reporting and engaging networking events.

“During these unprecedented times, JCK and Luxury’s main objective has been to support our community, to listen to our customers and to facilitate the personal and business connections that our industry is built on in the safest way possible,” said Sarin Bachmann, Group VP, JCK and Luxury. “JCK Events has always been a platform to drive business and build relationships, and JCK Virtual 2020 extends this beyond the show floor. JCK Virtual, August 10-14, will be the week when the fine jewelry and watch industry comes together, schedules appointments and reconnects in a way never before seen, virtually.”

JCK customers also have the opportunity to participate in JCK’s sister show, JIS October, taking place in Miami October 13-16, for those who will benefit from an in-person buying event this fall.

You Wouldn’t Cut Your Own Hair. Why Run Your Own Retirement Sale?

After being in business for over a quarter of a century, Wayne Reid, owner of Wayne Jewelers in Wayne, Pennsylvania, decided it was time for a little “me time.” He says, “I’ve reached a point in my life where it’s time to slow down, enjoy a lot of things outside of the jewelry industry. It just seemed to be the right time.” He chose Wilkerson to handle his retirement sale because of their reputation and results. With financial goals exceeded, Reid says he made the right choice selecting Wilkerson to handle the sale. “They made every effort to push our jewelry to the forefront of the showcases,” he says, lauding Wilkerson for their finesse and expertise. Would he recommend them to other jewelers who want to make room for new merchandise, expand their business or like him, decide to call it a day? Absolutely he says, equating trying to do this kind of sale with cutting your own hair. “The results are going to happen but not as well as if you have a professional like Wilkerson do the job for you.”
