JENNA ORTEGA WORE some serious jewels at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival, including pieces by Dior Joaillerie, Marli and more, but prior to attending the festival, she promoted Beetlejuice Beetlejuice at the UK premiere in London. She looked glamorous and chic in a sculptural teal and black Harris Reed custom design with opera length black gloves, which supposedly gave a nod to the first film. But what was most exciting was the collaboration between Fabergé and the new film’s costume designer — the renowned Colleen Atwood — and director Tim Burton.
“The 22 piece collection is comprised of 18k white gold earrings, pendants, lapel pins, collar bars and rings, inspired by the shape of a spiral, a motif prevalent in Tim Burton’s iconic films, and by two eerie Beetlejuice characters: Headworm and Sandworm,” according to a press release from the collection’s PR agency, Purple.
Ortega wore four pieces from the collection: a white gold, ruby and black enamel spiral wrap ring; white gold, ruby and black enamel spiral earrings; a white gold, emerald and black enamel spiral wrap ring; and a white gold, ruby, diamond and black enamel spiral bombe ring.
All the jewelry was set with Gemfields sourced emeralds or rubies in round, oval or pear-shaped cuts surrounded by round brilliant-cut white diamonds. Each piece was painted with black, red or green UV enamel. Fabergé was legendary for its different hard enamel jewelry set with precious stones, and this modern-day approach works well with the film’s theme as well as being on trend with contemporary women’s desire for bold yet wearable pieces.
