TALK ABOUT WELL bejeweled couples who wear both legendary houses and popular independent designers. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel recently proved to rank high among these celebrity pairs at the premiere of “Candy,” a Hulu limited mini-series based on a true crime in which Biel stars in the title role and Timberlake makes a cameo appearance. The celebrities, who rarely walk the red carpet together and who keep their home life private, were in opposite looks that complemented each other. (Biel discussed their marriage in an interview with ET.)

Timberlake wore a Cartier Essential Lines necklace in platinum and diamonds in 18K and a Cartier Juste un Clou tie pin in white gold and diamonds on his lapel and evoked an air of masculine streamlined elegance in his single-button double-breasted dark charcoal suit. Biel was in casual contrast to her husband of 10 years in all-white cropped Hanes tank top and wide floor length Giambattista Valli pants. She wore FoundRae necklaces and rings to complete her effortlessly chic look — layers of yellow gold graduated medallions, including the Mixed Belcher Extension Chain Necklace and Resilience pendant, which symbolizes blossoms that bloom, even in darkness, against adversity. She also wore the FoundRae True Love Baby Medallion and Strength Medallion. A True Love Knot, also known as Bowen’s Knot, is a heraldic knot representing the connectivity of true love, and the lion symbolizes strength, dignity, passion and self-confidence. On another chain, she wore FoundRae’s Wholeness Necklace, which symbolizes encouragement to seek unity within through growth and balance.

The man brooch has been trending for some time, and this season has also revealed its share of diamond necklaces for men on the red carpet. Many of the brooches were supplied by Cartier from either the high jewelry collection or the heritage collection of vintage pieces.

Layering yellow gold talismans around the neck is a theme that keeps going strong and is often seen at premieres and in candid out-and-about shots of A-list actresses. Many of the icons of style are part of FoundRae’s cult following.

Both Justin and Jessica would look great in almost anything they put on, but these looks suited them to perfection and also provided inspiration for us “regular folks.”

When There’s No Succession Plan, Call Wilkerson

Bob Wesley, owner of Robert C. Wesley Jewelers in Scottsdale, Ariz., was a third-generation jeweler. When it was time to enjoy life on the other side of the counter, he weighed his options. His lease was nearing renewal time and with no succession plan, he decided it was time to call Wilkerson. There was plenty of inventory to sell and at first, says Wesley, he thought he might try to manage a sale himself. But he’s glad he didn’t. “There’s no way I could have done this as well as Wilkerson,” he says. Wilkerson took responsibility for the entire event, with every detail — from advertising to accounting — done, dusted and managed by the Wilkerson team. “It’s the complete package,” he says of the Wilkerson method of helping jewelers to easily go on to the next phase of their lives. “There’s no way any retailer can duplicate what they’ve done.”
