(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — 2022 will mark the 14th year of the Jewelers on the Fairway charity golf outing, which will be held at Manhattan Woods Golf Club in West Nyack, NY. Over the last 14 years, golfers from across the industry have joined to support Hope & Heroes, and other charity organizations, with special focuses each year. Organized by Larry Gordon of LG Diamond Co/Shreeji Jewelry, Samir Mehta of Indigo Jewelry, Steven Lerche of Goldstar Jewellery, the event has raised over $500,000 since its inception.

Hope & Heroes funds the life-saving work on childhood cancer and blood disorders at Columbia University Irving Medical Center – including cutting-edge research, support for families, and care that always puts children first.

Over the last few weeks we have all seen the devastation and destruction brought to Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis that has resulted. This year we are teaming up with the CARE Organization’s Ukrainian Crisis Fund which aims to provide support to over 4 million in need.

Jewelers on the Fairway Supports the CARE Organization with Immediate aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, cash assistance and first aid deliveries for Ukrainian refugees. Prioritizes women, girls, children, and the elderly, and provides funding for refugees being cared for at the borders to neighboring countries such as Poland, Slovakia, or Romania

The event, which takes place on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Manhattan Woods Golf Club in West Nyack, NY is organized and co-chaired by Larry Gordon, LG Diamond Co/Shreeji Jewelry; Samir Mehta, Indigo Jewelry and Steven Lerche, Goldstar Jewellery. The day of camaraderie and giving back will start with check-in at 10:30am, brunch and warm up at 11am, ‘shotgun start’ at noon, followed by cocktails, dinner, and awards at 5pm.

Single player participation for new participants starts at $1,000 and goes up to a variety of player package and non-player package sponsorships that provide numerous levels of awareness, signage, and recognition at the event and on the website. All proceeds will benefit the two named charities.

This Third-Generation Jeweler Was Ready for Retirement. He Called Wilkerson

Retirement is never easy, especially when it means the end to a business that was founded in 1884. But for Laura and Sam Sipe, it was time to put their own needs first. They decided to close J.C. Sipe Jewelers, one of Indianapolis’ most trusted names in fine jewelry, and call Wilkerson. “Laura and I decided the conditions were right,” says Sam. Wilkerson handled every detail in their going-out-of-business sale, from marketing to manning the sales floor. “The main goal was to sell our existing inventory that’s all paid for and turn that into cash for our retirement,” says Sam. “It’s been very, very productive.” Would they recommend Wilkerson to other jewelers who want to enjoy their golden years? Absolutely! “Call Wilkerson,” says Laura. “They can help you achieve your goals so you’ll be able to move into retirement comfortably.”
