Jewelers Mutual Group Names Mike Alexander as Chief Operating Officer

He will oversee the growth and expansion of all commercial and personal business units, driving tighter alignment, communication, and coordination across teams.

(PRESS RELEASE) NEENAH, WI — Jewelers Mutual Group, a leading jewelry insurance and services provider, announces the promotion of Mike Alexander to chief operating officer. In his new role, Alexander will oversee the growth and expansion of all commercial and personal business units, driving tighter alignment, communication, and coordination across teams.

“Since joining in 2015, Mike has continued to make his mark by creating innovative customer solutions, delivering strong business results, and inspiring the teams and individuals around him,” said Scott Murphy, Jewelers Mutual’s president and chief executive officer. “I have confidence in Mike’s capabilities, leadership and decision making, and am certain with him in this role we are best positioned for achieving our strategy.”

Prior to his role at Jewelers Mutual, Alexander was the senior vice president of national sales and strategy at National General Insurance (formerly GMAC Insurance) in Winston Salem, NC. His responsibilities included overseeing a variety of property and casualty products including auto, property, flood, and commercial vehicle. He also held roles as divisional vice president of product management, general manager of agency product and pricing, and senior product manager.

“It has been an exciting seven years for me at Jewelers Mutual as we have diversified our business while keeping our customers at the center,” said Alexander. “In this new role I look forward to further deepening our relationships with our customers, investing in our technology and teams, and better positioning us for today’s rapidly changing environment.”

Alexander holds a Master of Arts Degree in Geography and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography and History from the University of Delaware. He lives in Neenah, Wisconsin, home to Jewelers Mutual corporate headquarters, with his wife and children.
