Jewelers of America Expands IDEX Partnership

JA Retail Members will get a free IDEX Premium yearly membership.

(Press Release) NEW YORK, NY – Jewelers of America, the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has expanded its partnership with IDEX, the International Diamond Exchange.

Jewelers of America Retail Members will now receive a free IDEX Premium yearly membership – a value of $500 – that includes full access to the IDEX Trading Floor (which offers live supply listings and dynamic pricing features), Buying and Consolidation Services and research materials. JA Retail Members will continue to receive IDEX’s monthly Diamond Price Report for free via email.

“We are continually expanding our partnerships and membership benefits to better server our members,” said JA President and CEO David J. Bonaparte. “IDEX has a been a strong partner and provides our members access to essential tools like their Diamond Price Report. This expanded partnership will help them better compete in the fast-pace, information-rich environment today.”

The partnership between IDEX and Jewelers of America will strengthen the communication between two key parts of the parts of the supply chain by connecting IDEX’s network of overseas diamond traders with Jewelers of America’s membership of 3,000 U.S. retail jewelers. JA’s Membership will benefit from gaining access to IDEX’s Trading Floor which is transparent and offers unbiased pricing information.

“IDEX is delighted to be strengthening our relationship with Jewelers of America,” said IDEX Chairman Ehud D. Cohen. “We will provide access to 75 percent of global diamond supply. The IDEX Buying Service will find buyers the best deal, authenticate the diamond against its certificate, consolidate buyers’ purchases and provide a credit facility, and all this in a totally secure environment,” he added.
